SOC 6030 - Contemporary Theory: Culture, Social Action, and Society An intensive and critical study of contemporary sociological theories. The course will focus on the problem of how the society that human beings make-and live through their social action-is structured by historically created cultural systems. Both modernist and post-modernist critiques of culture will be examined.
Prerequisites/Corequisites: Prerequisite: SOC 6020
