SPED 5340 - Curriculum and Instruction in Special Education Focuses on curriculum and instruction for learners with mild and moderate disabilities. Emphasis is placed on planning standards-based, differentiated instruction and intervention to meet diverse needs of learners with special needs and learners at risk of being identified with disabilities. Additional topics include: service delivery systems, roles of teachers and ancillary personnel, legal requirements, and major issues confronting the field of special education.
Prerequisites/Corequisites: Prerequisite: SPED 5330 (may be taken concurrently); Corequisite: SPED 5040.
Credits: 3 hrs.
