PHYS 2140 - Mechanics and Heat Problems This course is intended for those who have had PHYS 1130: General Physics I, or its equivalent at another school, and who need to show credit in PHYS 2050: University Physics I. The emphasis is on problem solving using calculus with the mathematical rigor required in PHYS 2050.
Prerequisites & Corequisites: Prerequisites: Department approval, PHYS 1130 or equivalent, and (MATH 1710 or MATH 1230); MATH 1710 or 1230 may be taken concurrently. A grade of “C” or better is required to satisfy any course prerequisite.
Credits: 1 hour
Notes: This course plus PHYS 1130 is equivalent to PHYS 2050.
