PHYS 4200 - Analytical Mechanics The topics studied include the dynamics of single particles and the motion of systems of interacting particles. Techniques of vector analysis are used frequently, and conservation laws are developed and applied. The Lagrangian formulation of mechanics is introduced.
Prerequisites & Corequisites: Prerequisites: PHYS 2070 and MATH 3740 (Math 3740 may be taken concurrently). A grade of “C” or better is required to satisfy any course prerequisite.
