CHEM 5070 - Ethical Chemical Practice This class addresses ethical standards and professional practice for the conduct of chemists. Students will learn to access and search the scientific literature, develop a set of ethical standards, and maintain a safe laboratory environment in an atmosphere of responsible care. The course will also address responsibilities of the individual professional care. The course will also address responsibilities of the individual professional in group, academic, and industrial settings.
Note: Open to upper-level undergraduate and graduate students.
Prerequisites & Corequisites: Prerequisite: Junior standing and 16 hours of Chemistry (with a minimum grade of “C” in all courses), and department approval.
Credits: 3 hours
