AVS 3925 - Reciprocating Engine Systems Lab Discusses reciprocating engine systems, focusing on ignition and starting, fuel metering, induction, cooling, and exhaust systems. Details inspection, service, troubleshooting, and repair strategies and procedures. Students will be able to interpret and apply manufacturers’ technical information during inspection, service, troubleshooting, or repair of reciprocating engine systems.
This course aligns with the Mechanic ACS according to 14 CFR Part 147.
Prerequisites & Corequisites: Prerequisites: AVS 3910 and AVS 3915. A grade of “C” or better is required.
Corequisites: AVS 3920
Credits: 1 hour
Restrictions: Aviation Technical Operations majors
