Non-business students are limited to only one minor and a maximum of 30 credit hours in the Haworth College of Business. Marketing, more than any other business function, deals with people. Sound marketing is critical to the success of every type of organization, including business-to-consumer companies, business-to-business companies, consumer goods and service companies, as well as non-profit organizations and entrepreneurs. The Marketing minor complements several major areas of study including (but not limited to): Management, Business Analytics, Economics, Public Relations, Graphic Design, Fashion Merchandising, Tourism and Travel, Organizational Communication, Sociology, Psychology, or Statistics. Students who study marketing can pursue a variety of career paths including those related to branding, strategy, consumer/marketing research, consumer experience, promotion, channel and sales management.
