Nationally ranked as among the best university sales programs since 2007, the Western Michigan University sales and business marketing program at the Haworth College of Business offers the #1 premier sales and business marketing major in the United States. With few exceptions, our heavily recruited graduates are all fully employed within six months of graduating and are supported by faculty with over 75 combined years of industry experience, hundreds of dedicated alumni who participate as career and sales mentors, the largest registered student organization (RSO) called the Sales and Business Marketing Association in the College of Business, and the Robert S. Kaiser Sales and Negotiation Lab as the major’s campus home. This major provides an intense, sales curriculum and hands-on experiential learning which gives students a structure to succeed “Selling the Western Way.” With one of the best collegiate winning percentages in the country at national sales competitions, our students know what it takes to succeed in sales, and employers—both business-to-business and business-to-consumer—are so impressed with our sales undergraduates and the quality of the curriculum that they recruit from WMU Haworth year after year.

As an integral part of producing a well-rounded student, the major offers recruiting mixers with potential employers, study abroad experiences in Germany, Thailand, and Dominican Republic, industry tours around the Great Lakes Region, competition on multiple national stages, a multitude of networking opportunities, and annual scholarship opportunities.
