GWS 3200 - Women, Globalization and Social Change


This course pursues an interdisciplinary analysis of the status of women worldwide and their efforts to create social change in a global context. We explore similarities and differences among women, recognizing the possibilities of transnational cooperation and the limitations of the idea of a "global sisterhood." This course satisfies WMU Essential Studies Level 3: Connections – Global Perspectives Category. This course also meets the Diversity and Inclusion student learning outcome.
