PADM 2000 - Introduction to Public and Nonprofit Service


This course provides an overview of the concept of public and nonprofit service and its relevance to the idea of "common good" in economy, polity, and society. It examines the historical and philosophical foundations of public and nonprofit service and their applications in policy and program development, public and nonprofit organizations, leadership, ethics, and decision-making. This course satisfies WMU Essential Studies Level 2: Exploration and Discovery – Societies and Cultures Category. This course also meets the Diversity and Inclusion student learning outcome.
