PADM 5830 - Grant WritingSecuring grants and contracts is an important skill to support the financial sustainability of public and nonprofit organizations. This course introduces students to proactive grant writing. Topics include identification of funding opportunities, building relationships with funders, and developing successful grant-funded programs and proposals. Students will be guided through the grant writing process, develop fund-able programs and associated evaluation, management, and budget plans. Assessments may include critical reflections on available funding program, the development of complete written grant applications, peer review of proposals, and funding pitches among others. Note: Open to upper-level undergraduate and graduate students. |
