STAT 6030 - Fundamentals of BiostatisticsThis course introduces students to statistical methods used in biomedical applications. Fundamental topics may include: basic probability, inference procedures for means and proportions, categorical data analysis, regression, analysis of variance, and nonparametric statistics. Biomedical subject matter may include: relative risk, odds ratio, diagnostic testing, bioequivalence, sequential testing, dose-response studies, and survival analysis. Emphasis will be placed on using statistical software for most of the computations and interpretation of results. Note: Open to graduate students only. |
