STAT 5860 - Computer Based Data AnalysisComputer intensive statistical methods are discussed for a variety of statistical problems, including location problems, linear and nonlinear models, mixed models, and generalized linear models (glms). These analyses include bootstrapping and other resampling techniques, computational maximum likelihood procedures, and robust procedures. The course uses simulation procedures for various probability models. The software language R is used. Note: Open to upper-level undergraduate and graduate students. |
