ECON 6070 - Health Economics


This course aims to introduce students to fundamental economic principles and various issues encountered in the field of health economics. It provides an overview of analytical tools from economics that can be applied to examine health-related behaviors, healthcare services, the significance of health insurance, personal lifestyle decisions, as well as the relationship between the field of health economics with other fields such as labor, development, education, and environmental economics.

Note: Open to Graduate students only.

Prerequisites/Corequisites: Prerequisite: ECON 2010 or equivalent
