ECON 6860 - Monetary Economics


This course covers topics in monetary policy and its effects on asset prices. The emphasis is on understanding the models of monetary policy and asset pricing and using actual market data to estimate the models. The goal is to equip students with solid theoretical backgrounds and rigorous applied training that prepare students for employment in the financial industry and policy think tank. It also provides a starting point for students who will go on to more advanced courses and research in monetary economics.
