AMS 4900 - American Studies in a Global Context This final seminar for the American Studies major and minor is designed to broaden students’ conception of American Studies by challenging them to place their knowledge of the culture of the United States within a global context. Students will be asked to compare some element from American culture to similar elements in other cultures from around the globe. In this way, students will come to better appreciate what is unique and what is universal in American culture.
Prerequisites & Corequisites: Prerequisites: At least 20 hours of work in the American Studies major or minor, including AMS 2000 and AMS 3000.
Credits: 3 hours
