ECON 5030 - Economic Computing


This course provides students with basic skills needed for gaining access to economics databases and for using data management programs on personal and mainframe computers. It provides instruction and lab experience in transferring files and performing operations widely employed by economists.

Prerequisites/Corequisites: Prerequisites: ECON 4030 and 4060 or permission of instructor.

Credits: 3 hours

Notes: Open to Upperclass and Graduate students. Undergraduates with junior or senior standing and 12 or more credit hours of Economics or the consent of the Department Chairperson may enroll in 5000-level courses.
