GEOS 5450 - Hazardous Waste Remediation Content includes chemical, physical, and biological processes affecting contaminants in the subsurface. Topics include environmental regulations, remediation, site characterization, contaminant characterization, detailed engineering and management considerations related to the design and operation of hazardous waste remediation systems involving water pollution, air pollution, solid waste, and groundwater pollution.
Prerequisites/Corequisites: Prerequisites: CHEM 1120/1130; MATH 1220 or 1700. Corequisite MATH 1230 or 1710.
Credits: 3 hours
Notes: Open to Upperclass and Graduate students. Prerequisites applicable to all 5000-level courses in Geology are junior status or above and 12 or more credit hours of course work in geology, including the specific prerequisite for each course, or consent of instructor.
