HPER 6640 - Promotion and Marketing in Sport


This course is designed to provide an introduction to the marketing and promotion of sport products and services. Course content will include, but not be limited to a discussion of contingency framework for strategic sport marketing; understanding sport consumers; segmentation, targeting, and positioning; promotion mix elements; sponsorship programs; and product distribution and pricing strategies.

Credits: 3 hours
