BLS 6040 - Issues in Travel This course is taken concurrently with BLS 5950. It presents theoretical content which facilitates effective teaching of independent travel skills to visually handicapped individuals. The topics of this course include development and use of spatial maps, use of the computer in mobility, conditions of travel, orientation to various environments, and types of guidance devices.
Prerequisites/Corequisites: Prerequisite: Restricted to students enrolled in the Orientation and Mobility and Special Education/Orientation and Mobility programs.
Credits: 2 hrs.
