HPER 3960 - Principles for Strength and Conditioning This course is designed to provide students with the applied scientific knowledge to design and implement strength training and conditioning programs in order to improve health and performance. The major topics in this course include flexibility, cardiovascular conditioning and aerobic exercise, and strength training and endurance. This course will include exercise and sport-specific testing, designing and implementing safe and effective exercise programs, and injury prevention. The course will also familiarize the students with the requirements, knowledge and skills necessary for the NSCA CSCS certification.
Prerequisites & Corequisites: Prerequisites: HPER 2950, 2980.
