SCI 5600 - Science for School Science Education


This course will involve participants in several activities especially designed to help them achieve an understanding of some of the important concepts of science. The course is designed and taught to address the needs of K-12 teachers. It is a variable topics course and may be repeated for credit if different topics are involved.

Prerequisites/Corequisites: Prerequisite: Teacher certification or baccalaureate plus work toward certification.

Credits: 3 hours

Notes: Open to Upperclass and Graduate Students. Undergraduates who have satisfactorily completed a minimum of four courses, or equivalent, applicable toward a major or minor and otherwise meet the specific course prerequisites may elect 5000-level courses in Science Studies.
