SOC 6020 - Classical Sociological Theory An intensive and critical study of major sociological theories developed in the 19th and early 20th centuries. The course will examine the logical structure of classical theories, patterns of influence among theorists, and the central issues raised in their works. Theories will be examined with respect to both historical context and their influence on contemporary sociology.
