IHS 6270 - Health and Human Services Policy and Politics Develops a systematic and analytical framework for understanding policy-making processes in health and human services, including identification of need and the formulation, implementation, and evaluation of policy. The political processes by which decisions are made and resources allocated and the ethics, laws, institutions, and forces, which affect these processes at local, state, and federal levels, are also considered.
Prerequisites/Corequisites: Prerequisite: Admission to the Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Health Sciences or instructor approval.
Credits: 3 hours
