AAE 4600 - Aircraft Stability and Control


A study of fixed wing aircraft stability and control; estimation of fixed wing stability derivatives, longitudinal and lateral/directional static stability and control analysis and synthesis. Introduction to dynamic stability and control characteristics including stability and mode shapes, responses to control input, and handling/flying qualities.

Prerequisites & Corequisites: Prerequisite: AAE 3710 and ME 3600.

Credits: 3 hours

Restrictions: This course restricted to majors in Aeronautical Engineering.
