PHYS 1000 - How Things Work This is a course in the physics of everyday life employing a minimum of mathematics. It explores the principles of automobiles, ice skating, roller coasters, CD/DVD players, television receivers, electronic computers and other common devices and situations. The course emphasizes basic physical principles rather than details of operation. The laboratory shows students how to ask questions, and how to collect and analyze data.
Credits: 4 hours
