ANTH 5070 - Gender Theories This course examines the dialogue between anthropologists, feminist theorists, and post-structuralists over the course of the 20th century. Beginning with path-breaking works by Margaret Mead and Simone de Beauvoir the course teases out the role that ethnographic scholarship has played in some of the major intellectual debates of the late 20th century, including subjectivity/objectivity and sex/gender.
