COM 3740 - Interracial Communication

Explains the inextricable and multidimensional relationships among race, culture, and communication. A theoretical framework to enhance understanding of interracial communication is provided, and attention is focused on the construction of one’s own racial/ethnic identity as well as those of other groups. Through experiential learning opportunities and assignments, students are encouraged to increase their awareness of the powerful role that race plays within communication processes.
