PHIL 3350 - Medical Humanities Provides a philosophical exploration of the humanistic side of medicine and the related fields of health and illness, health care, death and dying, and so forth. Students will learn about how different disciplines within the humanities (art, history, literature, music etc.) study these topics. In so doing, students will focus their studies on fundamental elements of the human condition and also learn how this knowledge can help health providers and patients reach better outcomes.
Credits: 3 hours
