ME 2500 - Materials Science for Engineers First course in the science of engineering materials. Relationships between microscopic structure and the mechanical properties of metals, polymers, and ceramics. Effects of environment on material properties.
Prerequisites & Corequisites: Prerequisites: (ME 2615 or ME 2200 or IME 1500 or EDMM 1500), and (CHEM 1100, CHEM 1110), and (MATH 1220 or 1700); with a grade of “C” or better in all prerequisites.
Credits: 3 hours
