CCE 6680 - Composite Materials Introduction to matrix and reinforcement (or filler) materials that form the basis of modern composites. Students learn about polymer-, metal-, and ceramic-matrix materials; fabrication of these materials into composites; effect of geometry and materials on properties; experimental characterization of composites; and biocompatibility, environmental effects, fatigue, fracture mechanics, and impact.
Prerequisites/Corequisites: Prerequisite: Instructor approval.
