GEOG 5820 - Remote Sensing of the Environment An introduction to the physical concepts and methodological foundations of air photo and satellite image interpretation, photogrammetry, and digital image processing. Students are also exposed to the physical principles that underlie electromagnetic radiation and its interactions with the earth-atmosphere system. Students who successfully complete this course will understand the capabilities and limitations of photographic and digital imagery obtained from aircraft and space-borne platforms.
