PADM 6150 - State and Local Government Finance This course examines a variety of financial tools that enhance a public official’s ability to cope with the crosscurrents of expanding government responsibilities and public resistance to higher taxes and fees. The tools that are addressed by this course include governmental accounting concepts and procedures; methods of financing infrastructure projects; risk management; calculating the costs of providing goods and services; and cost-benefit, cost effectiveness, and cost revenue analysis.
