SWRK 6685 - Theory and Practice of Group Treatment This course will increase students’ skills in providing social work practice with treatment groups. Students will engage in experiential learning about group dynamics, therapeutic factors, leadership and co-leadership roles and dynamics, group member composition and diversity, assessment and intervention planning. Particular attention will be paid to clients’ strengths.
Prerequisites/Corequisites: Prerequisite: SWRK 6600 or SWRK 6620.
Credits: 3 hours
Restrictions Restricted to Master’s in Social Work: Interpersonal Practice. Notes: Open to graduate students only.
