GEOG 6240 - Seminar in Biogeography This graduate seminar will focus on theoretical and applied biogeography. Traditional concepts in biogeography, such as the physical and biological environmental variables that influence geographic regions and ranges, will be supplemented with current issues in biogeography, including such topics as food security, biodiversity, and global change. Discussion, short excursions, field techniques, GIScience, lecture and lab exercises will be used to explore current research trends in biogeography.
