GEOG 5720 - Cities and Urban Systems Study of processes and forms of urban settlement highlighting problems relating to (1) political and geographical realities of urbanized regions, (2) factors in city growth (or decline), (3) the sizes, functions, and geographical distribution of cities, and (4) population patterns in contemporary cities. Activities are designed to provide the student with experience in the use of source materials and methods of analysis utilized in urban geography.
Prerequisites/Corequisites: Prerequisites: 14 credit hours of geography or community and regional planning, including GEOG 2440; or advisor and/or instructor approval.
Credits: 3 hours
