ECON 3180 - The Economics of Medical Care


This course is designed to familiarize the student with the basic economic concepts and some of the challenges facing the field of health economics. It introduces to the student economic tools that are useful in analyzing these problems. Issues include health modeling, medical care and the role of health insurance, lifestyle choice, and health systems and policy. This course satisfies WMU Essential Studies Level 2: Exploration and Discovery – Personal Wellness Category.
