ECON 2190 - Economic Principles of Sustainability, the Environment, and Natural Resources


An introduction to economic thought on problems of the environment, sustainability, and natural resources. This course will examine how economists view environmental issues, potential solutions that influence human behavior, and the institutional challenges that arise during implementation. In this course you will explore problems related to pollution control, global climate change, environmental degradation, fisheries, energy, and environmental sustainability. This course satisfies WMU Essential Studies Level 2: Exploration and Discovery – Science and Technology Category.

Credits: 3 hours

Restrictions: Not available for majors in Economics.
