ME 6750 - Thermoelectric Materials Thermoelectric Materials covers the fundamental theories for thermoelectric bulk and nanostructured materials. The fundamental theories include physics of electrons and phonons, thermoelectric transport properties such as the Seebeck coefficient, electrical conductivity, and electronic and lattice thermal conductivity. The theoretical model discusses nonparabolic two-band Kane model for electrons and phonons. Nanostructure includes nanocomposites, two-dimensional and one-dimensional nanostructures.
Prerequisites/Corequisites: Prerequisite: ME 5500 or instructor approval.
Credits: 3 hours
Notes: Open to graduate students only.
