ACTY 3240 - Introductory Tax Accounting


A study of the federal tax laws that apply to business entities. The course focuses on concepts of income, deductions, and credits that apply to all reporting entities and emphasizes tax planning as well as tax compliance.  In addition, this course may require successful completion of a Bridge process/assignment.

Prerequisites & Corequisites: Prerequisites:  ACTY 2100 and ACTY 2110, with a grade of “C” or better in all prerequisites.

Credits: 3 hours

Restrictions: This course is restricted to the following: minors in Accountancy; or majors in Accountancy, Personal Finance Planning or Public Administration: Business.
