BIOS 1120 - Principles of Biology A course designed to provide a natural science foundation for BIOS minors, Allied Health majors, and to fulfill liberal/WMU Essential Studies requirements. Foundation concepts in cell biology, human anatomy and physiology, botany, human genetics, microbiology, and ecology are presented for students who do not have strong biology and chemistry backgrounds. Credit does not apply for Biology or Biomedical Sciences majors. This course satisfies WMU Essential Studies Level 2: Exploration and Discovery – Scientific Literacy with Lab Category is taken with BIOS 1100.
