JRN 3100 - News Reporting Using New Media This course develops students’ skills in news writing and reporting with an emphasis on social media and digital reporting tools. Online writing techniques, online information gathering, databases, ethics, and a variety of medium and presentation formats are covered in this course that relies heavily on out-of-class reporting. Public agencies as well as community organizations affected by them are covered.
Prerequisites & Corequisites: Prerequisite: JRN 1000 with a grade of “C” or better.
Credits: 3 hours
