PEGN 1440 - Alpine Skiing/Snowboarding Designed to teach inexperienced skiers to link turns together with control on beginning and beginning/intermediate terrain. Introduces the fun of downhill skiing and emphasizes skills necessary to ski safely on appropriate terrain. If students choose snowboarding, basic skills necessary for safe and fun snowboarding on appropriate terrain will be taught. Also skidded turns with control on beginning and beginning/intermediate terrain. The variables of weather and snow conditions will be instructed. Students can choose to learn how to alpine ski or snowboard. Equipment is available to rent for a nominal fee at Timber Ridge Ski Lodge, Students are responsible for personal transportation to Timber Ridge Ski Lodge.

Notes: Open to all students for general credit or as a co-requisite with HPHE 1701 - Health and Personal Practices, to fulfill the WMU Essential Studies requirement for Level 2: Exploration and Discovery - Personal Wellness Category.
