LWIR 2000 - U.S. Civil Rights Movements Provides students with a cross-cultural and historical perspective on civil rights movements in the U.S. Students will gain a broad understanding of race and the social movements that have occurred to promote equal rights under the law, primarily focusing on African Americans, but also considering the struggles of Native Americans and Latinos. This course will focus on the period of struggle from 1954 to the present.
