MATH 5100 - Applied Matrix Algebra A second course in linear algebra with emphasis on linear systems, inner products, eigenvalues, eigenvectors, matrix decompositions, and their applications. Topics may include LU, QR and singular value decompositions, as well as symmetric, positive definite, and Hermitian matrices and the spectral theorem.
Note: Open to upper-level undergraduate and graduate students.
Prerequisites/Corequisites: Prerequisites: MATH 2300 or MATH 3740
