ME 5710 - Gas Dynamics Basic equations of compressible flow, isentropic relationships, normal and oblique shocks. Prandtl-Meyer expansion, Fanno Line and Rayleigh Line flow. Applications to nozzles, diffusers, supersonic wind tunnels; and linearized flows and method of characteristics.
Note: Open to upper-level undergraduate and graduate students.
Prerequisites/Corequisites: Prerequisites: ME 4310 and ME 4320, with a grade of “B” or better in all prerequisites; or instructor approval
