NUR 6640 - Field Practicum This practicum offers students an opportunity to apply newly developed skills and relate theoretical content as presented in core and concentration courses to real practice situations. Students will engage in focused sustained direct care activities designed to advance their knowledge, skills, attitudes, and expertise in a selected clinical area of practice. Evidence based clinical activities will include, but are not limited to, assessment, problem identification, plan of care development, implementation, and evaluation.
Note: Open to graduate students only.
Prerequisites/Corequisites: Prerequisite: Admission to the Master of Science in Nursing program, or instructor approval
Credits: 3 hours
Restrictions: Restricted to Masters of Science in Nursing or instructor approval.
