TEL 5400 - Methods for Teaching English Learners


A required course for undergraduate candidates in the TESOL major. This course is designed to enhance candidates’ understanding of TESOL teaching methods, with a focus on both theory and practice, as well as research-based models of second language teaching. Through this course, candidates will develop the ability to design materials and use methods that tailor to the language and academic development of English Language Learners.

Note: Open to upper-level undergraduate students only.

Prerequisites/Corequisites: Prerequisites: TEL 5250 with a grade of “C” or better.

Credits: 3 hours
