ACTY 6491 - CFO Financial Leadership This course will prepare students for financial leadership and for the position of Chief Financial Officer (CFO). CFOs manage the organization’s finances and are responsible for financial reporting. They play a major role in high-level decisions about policy and strategy and take ownership of all company fiscal and regulatory matters. They also set and track financial goals, objectives, and budgets. CFOs identify and address financial risks and opportunities for the company, including cost control. Their responsibilities include supervising lower-level financial managers.
Note: Open to graduate students only.
Credits: 3 hours
Restrictions: Restricted to master’s in Accountancy, Business Administration, Business Administration: Health Care, Business Administration: Aviation, Pre-Master of Business Administration, or departmental approval.
