CIS 2640 - Applied Analytics Foundations This course is designed to train undergraduate students with skills to apply scientific and analytical methods to plan for analytics projects, design data collection methods, clean and analyze data, and report findings. The students will also be trained to interpret the findings from data analysis in a meaningful way. Emphasis will be placed on uncovering insights through visualization, basic analytics techniques, data manipulation, and other methods for intellectual inquiry. This course satisfies WMU Essential Studies Level 2: Exploration and Discovery – Science and Technology Category. Please see advisor for specific program restrictions.
Prerequisites & Corequisites: Prerequisites: CIS 1020 or equivalent.
Credits: 3 hours
